• Course Basics

  1. Design journal: Each student will work from their design journal. The journal is for your thumbnail sketches, brainstorming ideas and your first, initial designs. Date each entry.

  2. Critique: Students will evaluate each exercise or project and make changes to their work based on their evaluations. They will use the DAIJ method of critique.

• Computer Process

  1. Desktop: create a folder on your laptop; when finished, COPY folder to flash drive. Folder should be named "06_name".

  2. Internet: only use the internet at specific times during the lesson. Use Google > images to download relevant photos.

  3. Fireworks: Save work using the PNG format(layers)

• Saving Work

  1. Flash Drive: May be purchased at any office supply store

  2. Email yourself / instructor: This is often the best way to save work. All final work will be emailed to instructor.
