__DEAR Parents and Advisory Students,

A. Agenda / Progress Report : Every Week (Monday - Thursday)

1. Our General Weekly Agenda - We meet Mondays and Fridays

2. Monday - Thursday: Check your Progress Report (example). Make sure at least ONE teacher has signed it during office hours.

2. By Friday: Parents and Teachers must SIGN the Progress Report. Make sure your child returns it to their Advisor when it is due on Friday.

B. Homework I: Setup

1. Workspace: Make sure your child has a quiet workspace at home for 2 hours of work each evening.

2. Design Workspace: Divide the table or desk in half:

  • Periods 1, 2, 3, 4- Assignments / Textbooks on LEFT side of workspace
  • Periods 5, 6, 7- Assignments / Textbooks on RIGHT side of workspace

3. Weekends:

  • Focus on the two or three most difficult subjects on Saturday or Sunday. Review each subject.
  • On Sunday: Plan the week with your child.
What office hours should they attend?

4. Study Skills Support : Please take one hour to look through this site. It can help your child greatly with study habits. Give it a try!

C. Homework II: Process

1. Prioritize
Help your child prioritize their homework. Ask them: "What assignments are due tomorrow?" Take a look at their agenda book and help them get started.

Whether your child has actual assigned homework or not,
THEY HAVE HOMEWORK
EVERY NIGHT!!! Its called REVIEW. They need to work a minimum of 90 minutes every night on homework and/or review.
