An image exported from Fireworks is generally destined to appear on a web page. That means the link to that image, and all HTML code necessary to display that image, has to be placed in an HTML document.
Fireworks can export an HTML document containing all that code. However, most designers rarely build web pages from the HTML document created by Fireworks. Usually, that code is grafted into existing HTML documents by copying and pasting.
Many web designers use HTML editors such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, or Microsoft FrontPage. If you use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX along with Fireworks, you can take advantage of several unique features that integrate the two applications, including interchangeable behaviors, sophisticated tracking of file updates, and even automatic HTML updates. |
